Shenandoah Trek

Last Saturday, my brother in law Robert and I headed out from the AT trail head at HW522, just outside Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.

Day 1 we had great weather! It was all downhill from there (not literally!). Days 2 and 3 it pretty much rained the entire time. We got to see a lot of deer along the way (there's one behind me in the picture below) in spite of the fog and rain.

We ended up traveling 70 miles over the course of 4 days. It was a great trip and I can't wait to pick up where we left off and catch the last 30 miles in SNP, and more of the AT beyond!
